Nashville’s culinary scene is more exciting now than ever, and that’s saying something because we’re the city that brought hot chicken to the world! This summer, take your foodie explorations to new heights high above the sizzling streets of the city at our recommendations for the top rooftop restaurants in town.

Choose from the best steakhouse in Nashville, sleek and chic destinations, relaxed live music joints, and casual eats atop hotels—you’ll have a night to remember at any of these destinations. Remember to take showstopping selfies with the skyline sunset as your gorgeous backdrop!

Our selected rooftop restaurants are beloved by locals and visitors alike, so we advise making reservations where they are accepted and arriving ahead of your desired dining time where they are not.

Nashville Underground
105 Broadway | Nashville

Nashville Underground’s claim to fame began with their “highest and largest double deck rooftop” anywhere on Broadway, but their lasting popularity is all thanks to their delicious Nashville-style grub and unflagging pursuit of fun and entertainment.

The top level of Nashville Underground boasts real grass where you and your dog are invited to relax under the warm summer sun while you take in stunning views of the city. The restaurant itself is six stories, and on the rooftop, you’ll have the option of ordering star items from the menu and gourmet flatbread items.  Below, you’ll find arcade games, mini bowling lanes, an LED dance floor, and at 29 degrees, the coldest beer in town!

UP, a rooftop lounge
901 Division St | Nashville

UP offers gorgeous panoramic views from atop the Fairfield Inn by Marriot. Escape the expected honky-tonks and cocktail lounges and hit UP this gem for charcuterie boards to share, southern-inspired farm-to-table meals,  juicy burgers, craft beers, wine, and cocktails.

UP is always popular with locals, so we encourage you to stop by if you’re a visitor who wants to avoid the tourist destinations that populate The Gulch. Just remember head UP, and before you can say boo, you’ll be cozy at a fire-top table taking in some of the best views of downtown’s skyline.

L27 Rooftop Lounge
807 Clark Pl | Nashville

On the twenty-seventh floor of the Westin Nashville, the hotel’s rooftop lounge invites you to unwind poolside. Share small plates with your dinner companions, enjoy craft cocktails, and listen to live music from Nashville’s own artists.

While hotel guests alone are able to swim, anyone can rent a cabana for the day. If you visit as the sun sinks below the skyline, settle into a beautifully appointed nook and forget the troubles of your long 9 – 5 day.

Lou/na
1000 Broadway | Nashville

Despite lou/na opening during the challenging fall of 2020, this restaurant has earned its place as one of SoBro’s most glamorous rooftop destinations. Inspired by the historic Louisville & Nashville railroad, lou/na recalls the elevated styles of days gone by while still being fully modern and undeniably chic.

Lou/na serves rooftop diners elevated small plates alongside their renowned, innovative cocktails. Enjoy live entertainment, skyline views of SoBro and the majestic Cumberland River, and immerse yourself in the social buzz one can always find atop lou/na.

L.A. Jackson
401 11th Ave S | Nashville

The Thompson Hotel’s rooftop destination, L.A. Jackson, is the only place to go for incomparable views of The Gulch. If you want to capture that perfectly sleek and swanky IG shot at a truly enjoyable spot with an exciting crowd, you simply must stop by for their famous brunch, or enjoy the full menu until ten p.m.

Whiskey River Saloon
111 Broadway | Nashville

When you’re in the mood to kick off your heels at a honky-tonk bar, nothing else will do. Whiskey River Saloon is a rollicking good time smack-dab in the heart of Nashville, so it’s no wonder it has a hopping social scene. Come on up, enjoy live music, and if you’re feeling brave, head downstairs and take a ride on the mechanical bull!

Whiskey River is also a popular spot for great Instagram pics, so expect to see visitors taking photos throughout the saloon. The rooftop bar boasts some of the best views of Nashville's skyline, so say cheese and take your own perfect photos!

Denim
401 Korean Veterans Blvd Floor 21 | Nashville

The Joseph Hotel’s restaurant Denim is located high on the 21st story and is a perfectly chic spot where you are invited to relax by the pool as you enjoy drinks and dinner in elevated casual luxury. The views are beautiful, and the menu is truly delectable! Whipped truffle ricotta appetizer, anyone? We’ll see you there.

Famous Nashville
110 2nd Ave N | Nashville

Famous Nashville is a multi-level restaurant and rooftop bar offering visitors views of both the famous Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium. Listen to live music and top DJs as you enjoy their famous brunch or arrive at sunset for dinner. Unwind with a drink and delicious dinner and take your time soaking up the unmatched views from aloft.

Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina
201 8th Ave S 34th floor | Nashville

Bourbon Steak has the well-deserved reputation as “the best steakhouse in Nashville,” so even without its fully panoramic 360-degree views of Nashville’s skyline, we’d still encourage you to indulge. Located above the JW Marriott hotel, Bourbon Steak is home to in-house Michelin Star Chef Mina, who has had the honor of preparing and presenting meals to three US presidents. Mina’s specialty is preparing perfect cuts of American beef, Kobe beef, and wagyu alongside the Nashville’s freshest seafood and shellfish.
